PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY

HouseDoc’s policy is to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all medical communications and registered users, in accordance with HIPPA and State regulations. Access to individual mailboxes is password protected, and all medical information and communications are electronically encrypted. Communications between patients or physicians can only be viewed by the respective parties, by mutual consent. None of the content of medical communications will be made available to third parties, unless a patient authorizes their physician to share their medical information with another of their physicians. A log will be kept of all persons logging on to each mailbox, to ensure compliance.

HouseDoc, however, would have to disclose individual medical information, if required to do so by federal, state, or local law. In addition, if a communication is taken out of the HouseDoc site, through a link or another service, or downloaded, printed, or forwarded, by one of the communicating parties, HouseDoc can no longer assure that the information included will be kept confidential. HouseDoc reserves the right to collect medical information, without the name of specific patients, for purposes of statistical analysis of medical conditions and usage.

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with HouseDoc or with the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services.To file a complaint, please email us at inquire@housedoc.us.

Although we do our utmost to secure the data on our site, no method can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. As such, we cannot be liable for breach of security or divulgence of information due to transmission error, exportation of information out of the HouseDoc site, or illegal acts by third parties that are not authorized to have access to the information.
