HouseDoc was designed by physicians, to help health care providers and their patients communicate on-line instead of by phone. The service can accommodate the needs of any type of practice. There is no fee to join, or for routine office communications, although physicians can decide on charges for out-of-office services such as email consultations.
Communications are private and secure. The site is password protected, encrypted, and compliant with HIPAA regulations and AMA guidelines. Only the doctor and patient can access their communications, and the information can’t be seen by anyone else.
